How Can My Spouse/Partner Get an Appointment?
To have your spouse or partner book an appointment, they will need to create their own Babylon account. Once your spouse/partner has signed up, they can use their own account to book appointments.
If you’d like to invite your spouse or partner to create a Babylon account, you can use the steps below:
- Tap “Add Family Member” below your name.
- Enter their details in the fields provided, including an email address not associated with your account.
- Tap “Done”.
- They will receive an invitation to join with the email address you provided.
Can I Book an Appointment for My Child Under My Name?
No. You need to book appointments using your child’s profile so the health care provider can add their notes to the correct account.
You can create a profile for a child under the age of 18 by following these steps:
- Tap on the profile icon on the top right of the screen.
- Select “Add Family Member” below your name.
- Enter their details in the fields provided.
- Tap “Done”.
- Once you’ve created your child’s profile, go to the home screen of the Babylon app and select “Book Appointment”.
- Select which family member the appointment will be for.
- Verify your child’s insurance plan, name and date of birth as it appears on your insurance card (if you’ve already done this, the app will skip this step.)
- Select an appointment type.
-
Enter the reason for the appointment (ex. A recurring symptom or medical concern)
- You will also have the option to add a picture of your medical concern.
- Select the date and time of your appointment.
- Request a translator, if needed.
- Select where you would have gone for medical care if Babylon was not an available option.
- Review appointment details and select "Confirm Booking".
- Required on an annual basis: review and agree to the “Informed Consent” and “Medication History Authorization” forms.
You can invite a child over the age of 18 to join Babylon, but they will need their own account. You will not be able to book appointments for them or view their personal details.
- Tap “Add Family Member” below your name.
- Enter their details in the fields provided, including an email address that is not associated with the original account.
- Tap “Done”.
- They will receive an invitation to join with the email address you provided.
Can My Spouse Or Another Guardian Book an Appointment for our Child?
Yes, but two people cannot have the same child on their account at the same time.
The parent or guardian who is expected to be with the child during the appointment should book the appointment on their account under the child's name.
To switch a child from one parent's account to the other’s, contact our Support team at 1 (800) 475-6168. To make this change, we will require consent from both parents/guardians.
Who Needs to be Present During My Child's Appointment?
If an appointment is booked for a minor, the child and the parent/guardian need to be present for the appointment.
